Spring home inspiration!

Finally Spring is here.....my allergies said so! I am so excited for the spring season because I absolutely love the warm weather and it sure has felt like a long drawn out winter. As you get to know me you will soon find out I have a love for Birds! What says Spring like the return of the Birds? Here are some inspiration pieces that can be swapped out in your home to reflect the lovely Spring days ahead! All of these pieces can be found at Pier One!

My personal taste is very exotic, I'm talking Monkeys, Animal print and dark woods but this bed ensemble really caught my eye! It is so inviting and feminine!

Wall art can easily be brought in for a season. Just prop it up on a mantel, or chest and it will instantly had a pop of color to your room without any added nail holes.

Guest will feel welcome with this bright Bird doormat!

Pair these pillows together on your sofa for the Spring! Throw pillows are probably the easiest and most budget friendly way to change the look of your home for seasons. They can be stored away when not in use.

I chose this chair because really it can be used year round and it is a neutral color. Choosing a chair in a bold pattern is an easy way to add texture to a room.

This table setting and placemat is a charming addition to your breakfast table. I love the gold beaded look of the mats against the soft pastel colors of the Birds.

What would Spring be without bulb flowers! Adding a silk floral arrangement like this Dahlia to your home is a low maintenance way to bring the lushness of Spring inside!

Orange and Blue...On trend colors for 2014!

Garden seat from Ballard Design

Orange and blue color combinations are sure to be gracing home interior stores everywhere! Before you freak out and think " Why such a bold combo!" It is very easy to use these trendy colors against a neutral palette to make a statement that is not going to hit you or your guests in the face upon entering a room. I love the new look and have put together my favorites to make a perfect nautical meets warm desert pair!

Ohio Design reveal!

I had a blast redesigning this 1973 Ohio living room. My client has had this furniture since they moved in over 36 years ago! It was time for a change and knowing my client's love for the ocean and anything beachy I decided to go in that direction. She is always wearing bright colors so I brought bright colors into her living space. I thought she may need it during those dreary Ohio winters!

Ohio Haul!

This project has finally reached the fun part....accessorizing! After six months of prep, painting, new flooring and furniture delivery we are going shopping!

I think we cleaned out HomeGoods! 8 degree weather didn't slow us down. At least the sun was shining!

Destined for Design!

My first shot at design! This is a picture of me four years ago with my new Christmas present! My husband and I were in the process of furnishing our first home and I had these chairs made in Hickory. I am obsessed with animal print so I selected a tan upholstery with zebra print accent. I even picked out the pillow trim! I was a Flight Attendant at the time but little did I know I was well on my way to a career in Interior Design!( I actually had long hair here!)
